"This is how I would die into the love I have for you :

Why Quietude® Support?

Welcome.

I offer Quietude practice and spiritual companionship for children and adults moving through tender times of change, uncertainty, awakening, or transition.

Trained as a Quietude Practitioner at Emerson College in Forest Row in 2022, I hold a gentle and peaceful space, where presence, and deep listening may inspire feelings of comfort and meaning. I experienced living practices of facing endings and working towards the acceptance of loss during my Quietude training. With warmth and reverence for each individual’s unique journey, class colleagues supported each other to discern the beauty of encountering endings as bridgings.

As someone born into a home with little Silence, I searched high and low for this substance - discovering it gradually developing in my Heart, through the seeking and meetings of the human life, through struggle between the Individual and Social Life here.

In the Quietude training exploring how different people and cultures through Time and Place meet loss, tend it, or bypass it, I learned to include artistic ways in which I could participate in the transition opportunity. Today, alongside singing, art-making, reflecting, listening, poetry, and life biography-tending, new gratitude for Life as Music is  finding me.

There are moments in life when the soul seeks something more essential, such as a place to discover rest; a place to question, remember, and self reflect, and a place to simply be held with kindness. Quietude offers such a space.

Rooted in Love, it invites a deepening connection with oneself, with others around us, and also with the spiritual world around us, that can be experienced as becoming nearer during times of vulnerability and transition.

This work may be of particular support to those preparing to cross the threshold, whether through illness, grief, heartache, advancing age, or a conscious inner calling to prepare for death with greater peace and awareness.  In these profound stages of life, many people find themselves longing not for answers, but for calm companionship, spiritual gentleness, and the reassurance that they do not walk alone. With sensitivity and respect for the sacredness of each person’s experience, I create space for fear to soften; for inner peace to emerge; and for deeper meaning and connection to be felt.

If you would like for yourself or someone you hold dear, to be accompanied by me, feel free to send me a message and we can meet in-person for tea or online to see if we would like to work together.
