Workshops for Childhood to Adolescence

We will explore Fairytales, Myths, Fables, Folk Tales, Movement, Poetry and Singing to empower young people (and us Adults) to discover selfhood in respect of others' process as being unique and true too.

Many work through Time and Place, and offer opportunities for heart-based transformation, and the potential for self-actualisation.

Welcome to a place where stories and songs come to life—where imagination blossoms, wisdom whispers, and ancient truths come alive!

Where dragons soar, wise animals speak, knights battle, and ancient legends echo through the mists of time, we may discover health-giving possibilities and natural medicine for hearts and minds to discern Love.

I bring timeless tales and songs from around the world to the heart of Aberdeen, and around North East Scotland.

Stories and Songs are selected to suit different age groups, and needs, and brought in a way that invites deeper questions.

Through my workshops with stories full of transitions, I invite children and young people to live into the imagination of the pictures, to explore the wisdom, whimsy, and wonder woven into the narratives. Carefully chosen for their beauty, depth, and relevance to life today, I bring known and unknown stories to life through words, movement, character, gesture, art-making, and connection; that invite us to listen more deeply—to ourselves, to each other, and to the world. â€‹

From Scottish selkies and Norse gods to African tricksters, Indian kings and queens, and Grimm’s darkest characters... each session is a journey into our imagination, cultures, and invite connection. Whether participants are seeking enchantment, moral lessons, inner transformation, healing, or possibilities to grow, there’s a tale and song for every seasonal change - within and around us.

Rooted in a deep respect for the spiritual and moral fabric of storytelling and singing, many of the tales and songs I bring are inspired by deep-rooted insights and health-giving festivals. The old stories and songs help nourish the inner life, celebrate the rhythms of the year, and awaken a sense of wonder and purpose - processes we all embody.

Honouring the Health-Giving Festivals Through Storytelling and Singing

Throughout the year, I present stories, poems, and songs that align with a rich festival life, bringing warmth, depth, and spiritual insight to each season.

The yearly cycle is a profound teacher and an ever-turning spiral of light and dark, growth and rest, outward blossoming and inward reflection. The seasons are viewed not just as climatic changes, but as soul-states and qualities that shape our inner life and creative expression.

Each season carries its own spiritual and artistic themes, aligned with sun and moon cycles, traditional festivals, and natural phenomena. Together, these festivals and rhythms provide a living framework for therapeutic arts that support personal transformation, community connection, and attunement to the natural world.

At each festival, our storytelling and interactive singing draws from a blend of traditional tales, nature-based myths, and spiritual parables that reflect the deeper mood and meaning of the time:

This seasonal framework guides the timing and thematic emphasis of your therapeutic arts offerings, inviting participants to flow with the natural cycles both outwardly in the environment and inwardly within their own lives. The stories, poems, and songs are selected and shared with care, using language and imagery suited to the age and understanding of each group. Whether in a classroom, a chapel, or a cozy family gathering, the aim is the same: to create a living space where imagination and spirit can meet.
